Former Congressman JD Hayworth is considering a Republican primary challenge against John McCain for his Senate seat. Hayworth was one of the most anti-immigrant members of Congress and was defeated by a pro-immigration Democrat. Now Hayworth intends to use immigration as the wedge issue to defeat McCain. A new poll from Benenson Strategy Group (commissioned by America's Voice), has a surprising finding - the vast majority of self-identified GOP voters support immigration reform. I have one white I 94 which you get at the port of last entry and three H1 I 94 (one original H1 I 94, two extention I 94s). The latest I 94 goes till 2010. Should I surrender all four I 94s or just the expired ones or just the white one.

NEW DELHI -(Dow Jones)- Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO) plans to have 10,000 employees in India by 2010, its chief executive said Monday.
"We currently have 3,000 employees working in India," John Chambers told reporters on the sidelines of a company event.
Cisco had earlier said it would shift 20% of its top management staff across all functions to India by 2012

I applied an LC from an employer on March 27th 2005 (Pre-PERM)
It is shifted to P-BEC. I have not got any 45 day letter for that

Hello Forum Members -
My company has applied for my 8th year extension (3 years) based on my LC and I-140 that was applied in CA. (My LC and I-140 have been approved). But during my 7th year, I moved to NC state with the same company/department. The LCA for the extension includes both CA nad NC work locations and NC residence address.
Will there be a problem with extending the H1 using the I-140 that has been approved for CA? Will USCIS question why I am in NC when the I-140 shows a CA Address?
Please let me know your opinion.

Not surprising, but surprising that Luis would admit it. And if this is the case (and I think it is), then the question is whether we wait until 2011 or later to push again or finally decide it's time to look at other strategies like piecemeal reform (pass DREAM, AgJobs, legal immigration reform now and deal with legalization later) or look at administrative actions like TPS or parole and a moratorium on deportations for people who would otherwise meet the requirements of a proposed legalization program.

In theory, you don't have to be in the US for any part of the permanent residence (PR)process. A company could do a labor cert and I-140 for you, and then you could complete the PR by interview at a consulate, and only then start working for the US employer. In practice, of course, that never happens. However, it is possible so that you can safely go to India.

An interesting segment from ABC News' John Quinones. This is from the "What Would You Do?" series and the question explored is how customers in a restaurant will react to a security guard asking Latinos for their identification in a restaurant in southern Arizona. While the Arizona law has not yet taken effect and only applies to police officers and not security guards, ThinkProgress' Wonk Room rightly points out the threshold for stopping people is very low and it is pretty easy to envision these kinds of situations playing out.
