Or do you need us to write to each of them?
I will send to washington post, new york times, AP and Reuters. I have posted the reporters that I will correspond with.
These lists are not complete. I am updating the lists.

Believe it or not, I've met a taxi driver who graduated from an Ivy League institution and used to work at NASA in 60s and 70s and worked on developing algorithms for decompressing transmissions.
This actually reminds me of the joke:
A doctor's office got flooded. The plumber is called and he fixed the broken pipe in 5 minutes.
Doctor: "How much do I owe you?"
Plumber: "$200".
Doctor: "What! Even I do not make $200 for a 5 minute work!"
Plumber: "Which is why I changed profession."
:D

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let you know that my EB3 I-140 got approved today. I am a July 2007 concurrent filer. This wait has been frustrating and I've had to let many good opportunities pass by. I had, in the last 2 months, opened 2 service requests. I am not sure if they did the jobor may be the time has come when we will see July approvals coming in hordes.
Good luck to all of you.

I am a PT on an H1B visa working for the last 3 years. I have a pending I-140 (PD March 07). My husband and I shall be filing our I-485's soon. My visa screen is valid till Nov 2009. At the rate things are moving dont think my PD will be current for a while. Does that mean I have to renew my visa screen in 2009? Not sure if it had to be present at time of filing I-485 or at time of receiving a visa number.
I thought the visa screen should be submitted with your i-485 application. Secondly, as far as your visa screen is submitted b4 the expiration date, it should be ok.

Hi,
I talked to my lawyer and she didn't mention about any kind of delay so can you please give me some more details about this PIM and how does it affect the whole process and slow things down.
Thanks a lot in advanced
scorion PIM process is a new additional step that is now part of visa stamping process. if you read around here you will find out more about it but in short uscis office in kentucy has to scan and upload all your supporting documents i.e employement letter etc that you might have used to get an H1 approval. The embassy you will visit for visa stamping has to review all the uploaded doc's before stamping your visa. Now I read in one of the thread here that someone in chennai has been stuck for over 3 to 4 weeks after their visa intvw just because the PIM process is not done. Hope this helps. Check out this thread:

When the USCIS is doing mistake, we need to ask for fee waiver. If they are nog giving, we should not hesitate to take them to court and make them pay for it. Even one time if we can succeed it will make all the difference.
Ok - any ideas how we can ask? What fee waiver are we asking for?
We need to understand if there is a system in place for fee waiver?
To get any favourable thing like getting fee back and such things, first thing is that they have to officially accept that they are doing this and that is the most difficult part. You cannot get them to talk so easily.
Breaking the law is not acceptable - it can be from all sides, but when you deal with govt agency - it is not easy - there is a lot of beurocracy associated and it is not that easy as we all think it is.
I understand the frustration among the community - but we must all collective channelize our frustratons into something constructive, positive and effective.
thats why we need innovative ideas to deal with this.
Come on EB2, EB3 - US MAsters, US Phds, EB1s , scientists, doctors, engineers, consultants, and all those ivy leagures - can you use your IQ and brains to help wiith these issues? Please post some ideas here.

USCIS should clear the backlogs first, to some extent, because people are stuck here in USA on H1B even after 10 years.. Otherwise they should find a way to pre-register to EAD and GC without all this gimmick approvals of AOS etc.
But this is only in our thoughts, just making memos and making the life of Legal immigrants a mess is the current strategy of the immigratin leadership, this is being done by the anti-immigrant community.
If they are not clearing the backlog, Suffering will be more for all of us who will eternally wait in the Q.

In addition to writing Ombudsman, it has been decided to intensify this campaign and write to higher ups at the USCIS. A few new actions items have been identified and posted at: http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=22182
Note that this campaign has active support by core members and the strategy of writing these letters has been decided after a lot of discussions. But to achieve positive results and changes at USCIS we need to send these letters in big numbers. Please participate in that campaign and send those 4 letters as soon as you can. Thanks.

Received a direct deposit from IRS today of $1200. I am on H1B and my wife on H4 and both of us have SSNs. We had filed jointly.
Also another friend of mine received his refud for a family of 4 - he is on H1B, wife on H4, both have SSNs, one daughter US citizen (has SSN) and another daughter Indian citizen (no SSN). He got 600 + 600 + 300= $ 1500.
It all adds up...

not necessary ...replacements are difficult for key jobs and expertise. if the right person leaves the job ..then a small / medium (or even large ones) can go off road. more than replacement ..it is the effort to find the right person, train him ..and for that person to go through the experience curve ..(I guess you are looking from your level ..are you in s.ware or in testing ?....if yes, you need to look at other higher levels ..ofcourse, for such people EB1 is available ..)
but I agree ..it does not hurt US as much since economy is so huge ..but it can definitely hurt the business firms ..this was the main reason why the law was changed (or passed) ..to allow H-1 people to continue staying even after 6 years ..earlier they had to leave compulsorily..(I am not an expert ..so feel free to correct).
and this can happen either at highly skilled level in a big company to a smaller business..
for e.g. a restaurant can go out of business if their main skilled cook is forced to leave due to immi (or something else).
and ofcourse a v.big company may lose a skilled analyst (and similarly a scientist etc etc)
Thats one thing. Again we are talking of replacing these key people in NUMBERS aka thousands? So what does america gain?

Thanks for all the info about interfilling guys, very useful .
I have EB3 Nob/04 with I40 approved and AOS in progress.
Apllied EB2 10 months ago and got labor (6 months prep + 3 months in filling) + I140 approved (in 2 days)
with prem processing.
I'm also in the same boat as others, not clear as to what one has to do for porting/interfilling, I will let the attorney decide if he/she needs to submit a request or it will be automatically linked to the current 485.
Please keep us updated on your progress which is more helpful than attorneys and SOPs followed by USCIS, thanks.

That's going to be a problem! :p Good luck with school and good luck to us in getting our greencards!!!
My husband doesn't even want to look. He says he'll become too agitated, so only let him know the good news. I'm addicted too, but this could become a problem for me, since this week I have finals at school:o

Do not complain, mine is RIR PD Oct. 2001 and still waiting. I think they should hire someone with brain to handle the missmanagement, like an H1 visa holder. Ooops, I forgot, cap already reached till Oct 2007.
