The USCIS automated line for Priority dates is still playing the PD's for June 2007 showing that EB-3 India cut off June 1st 2003 etc..
We have so contrasting images of the efficiency of USCIS. Hope they keep the same tempo as of the last week of June on Oct 1st when the FY 2008 quota kicks in.
The automated line is actually a human trying to speak like a machine :D
If you call the number one has to press so many buttons, hear so many messages and finally when you reach an actual person, it is difficult to get any details on your case.

There is no deying the fact that this country has benefited from us much than us. How about some moral abligation and sense of fairness from this great country???

The current Priority date based Labor application system makes the most higly skilled immigrants bonded laborers where the employers can exploit them. This especially happens to people who are highly intelligent but donot try short routes to Green card and do not think of jumbing ahead of others in the que or moving to other companies to get green card processed faster. Reality dawn sonly when nearing the six year completion date of H1B.
We need to change this unjust immigration system so that atleast in future merit gets rewarded and people who really deserve get their green card.

We all are going through hard time, but we do not need to display our hard feelings for someone through the forum! If you are upset at someone or if you have complains, email the Admin or a Super Moderator.
Do not write rude. Be a little professional at your behavior and communicate professionally.
Now, the fool is trying to change the subject by asking ppl to join the rally. Why in the world wud ppl trust him? The thread is barely 10 pages and after realizing that therez no point in discussing about what this thread is all about, he has shifted subject loyalites. How lame and insane is this guy? Pappu, LogicLife where r u guyz? Why dont u ban him?

can you please suggest accountant, if its ok with you, residing any place is fine as we deal most of it through ph, having tough time to find the right one just to aid in the start up and maintain min. proceedings like tax filing etc. without having any activity/revenue
I have used the following accountant for years now, The best part is that he is familiar with Immigration issues or gets it validated from an immigration attorney, who sits in the same building.
Please note I am not soliciting for him but reffering him based on request.

My drivers LC is completely linked to my H1 status. Twice I got DL only for 14 months and had to extend it again the following year. Generally they extend your DL 2 -3 months more of the expiration of your H1B.

I just spoke with an Immigration Representative of my Senator. She knows me as I met her last year with my employer for my other issue.
She just informed me that we are (Not only we but whole Congress) shocked with un-precedent action of DOS/USCIS for July VB. Senator's Washington DC office is working on this issue including immediate legislative relief to Employment Based immigration. She is well aware of whole drama of July VB. I am going to call Washington DC Office as well.
I encourage every one call to their Senator and HR and speak with Immigration Representative. I think first time media and lawmakers have acknowledged the problem of Employment Based Immigration.
Call make much impact than the email/fax
Can this be in head thread. So peole start organize and call based on this information.

Somehow i still think PD will be important.People are wondering how they are gonna pull out earlier pd's from the thousands that will pour in.Well,while entering the file into the system,they have to enter all this data right,in order to issue receipts.Surely they have a way of sorting the whole file by PD,becoz they know that after the retrogression,as and when visa numbers become available,they can just haul out the files by PD and see if security checks and fp are done!!In this case RD's are useless,except for EAD's and AP's or maybe to sort out the apps among the current dates itself!!!!If so,they can allot a number and we see the green!!!I'm sure i am missing out some key plot point here...but i wish the processing was as simple as the above!!!
